Starting December 1, the Nagornaya gallery of the Moscow Exhibition Halls exhibition will host the exhibition The Nature of Binarity, which was attended by young Russian artists. The project is being implemented with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as part of the All-Russian Forum of Youth Creative Workshops “ART Workshop XXI”.
“The nature of binary” is the general name of a series of exhibitions of more than 80 authors from different parts of the country, their mentors and recognized masters of contemporary art. The project is based on the work of five creative workshops “ART Workshop XXI”: “Truth and Falsehood” (paradoxical works based on the concept of the inseparability of lies from truth), “Freedom and Permissiveness” (abstract art); “Pros and Cons" (sketch-reactive art); “Creation and Destruction” (a reflection of the relationship between subtle matters, the expansion of concepts) and “Self and Facelessness” (artists from Tatarstan on the legacy of past eras, the specifics of the Muslim family, the problems of the creative person).
The exhibition was the result of a large-scale project of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, which gave a unique opportunity to young talented artists from various regions of the Russian Federation to try their hand at teamwork. Based on the results of the competitive selection, the experts approved about 250 works that were presented to the public in Moscow at 5 sites of the Association (The Here on Taganka Gallery, the Solntsevo Gallery, the Nagornaya Gallery, the Na Kashirka Gallery, the Khodynka Gallery). Previously, the project was a great success in St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Kaliningrad, Tolyatti and Stavropol, as well as 2 galleries in Moscow. The Nagornaya Gallery will present the works of young authors of five workshops at once - painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, art photo and digital art.
“Curators selected 80 authors from among the most talented and promising young artists to participate in the project. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the project participants for about two months created independent work on given topics, ”said K.V. Akimov, Vice President of the TLC of Russia. “This is an experiment whose task, not limited to one exhibition space, is to expand contemporary geography to make contemporary art more accessible to residents of different parts of the city.”
