In the exhibition halls of the North Caucasian branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, from September 1 to September 30, 2020, the exhibition "One for All" will be held, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition will feature graphics, photographs, installations and video works of contemporary Russian artists.
The opening date of the exhibition is not accidental. All of Ossetia is entering into a three-day mourning for the victims of the Beslan tragedy. Since 2020, September 3 - Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, established in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan - coincides with the celebrations associated with the end of the Second World War. This decision can be treated in different ways, but for those who missed the Beslan tragedy, no other solemn, especially festive dates will drown out the pain of the experience. We can say that the One for All project, as it were, reconciles these dates, as it speaks of the suffering and trauma of war.
The author of the idea, curator of the project Vitaly Patsyukov: “The system of images presented in the project is realized as a creative expression of the artist’s personality, its community in winning the victory“ one for all ”, where each creative gesture finds its embodiment and the smallest plastic image contains a holistic artistic certificate. In the organic nature of these artistic realities, in their disinterestedness, the memory of loss and, at the same time, of the triumph of the inevitability of life is concentrated, meanings, values and dignity of the individual are revealed at critical points in our common history.
Director of the Pushkin Museum. A. Pushkina Marina Loshak: “The exhibition“ One for All ”is a subtle reflection on what excites every thinking person: about love, about identity, about death and about life, which always wins, no matter what. This is a conversation about memory - quiet, deep, personal - and at the same time common, one for all. We are glad that we were able to implement such an important project in this difficult time. "
The presented works, performed in different genres - graphics, photographs, installations and videos - are united by the ideas of devotion to the native land, love, and the memory of the departed. The project shows that the theme of victory in war lives in the minds of every person, associated with sacrifice, the triumph of the ideals of good, the inescapability of life.
The exposition will feature works by Marina Fomenko, Sergei Katran, Anna Kabisova, Vladimir Nasedkin, Leonid Tishkov, Konstantin Batynkov, Alexandra Mitlyanskaya, Elena Demidova, Tatyana Badanina, Yulia Abzaltdinova, Alexei Goncharenko, Vladimir Martynov, Sabina Shikhlinskaya.
