The Air of Asia exhibition immerses the viewer in the atmosphere and condition of the places visited by the authors. The exposition of the exhibition introduces the peculiarities of the oriental way of life, mentality, the aesthetics of the East, unusual for the western eye, and the natural and architectural sights of Asian countries. All this contributes to the strengthening of intercultural relations, creates the ground for inter-confessional and interethnic dialogue through public diplomacy, brings closer to a more complete and deeper understanding of a different culture, different from us.
Alla Polkovnichenko - a member of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering, is completing an internship in the South Russian workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts. Shows canvases painted during plein air trips to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China and Inner Mongolia. In Alla’s works there is no active action or forcing emotions. The artist is characterized by a restrained color scheme, a rigid composition and a flattened space, which helps to discard the superfluous and focus the viewer’s attention on the main thing.
