February 28, 2019 at 18.00 in the National Art Gallery "Khazine" of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, Kremlin, Sheinkman passage 12, entrance 3), the opening of Vladimir Guryanov’s exhibition "Life in Color" will be held.
Vladimir Stepanovich Guryanov - a painter, a member of the Creative Union of Russian Artists - an amazingly original artist. His works have a rare quality: they do not bother, the longer you live with them, the deeper and brighter they open up to the viewer, give rise to new associations, new images, new emotions, not always unambiguous, but always strong.
It is difficult to determine the style of painting by Vladimir Guryanov. Many directions of the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries organically merged in it - from impressionism to avant-garde, a phenomenon characteristic of modern art, which gave birth to a kind of “Guryan’s” style.
Vladimir Guryanov sees the artist’s mission in conveying the beauty of existence, in conveying it to the viewer, who is accustomed to see only stereotyped ideas about the environment in everyday rush.
Since 1986 V.S. Guryanov is a participant in personal, thematic, group exhibitions in Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg and abroad. The artist’s works are presented in the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, in private collections in Russia, USA, France, Germany, Great Britain, Canada.
The exhibition “Life in Color” is the first after a pause taken by the artist almost ten years ago. All this time the artist worked. For him, painting is a way of speaking, researching and dialogue with life and people. The exhibition presents both works where form and color live in a harmonious pictorial combination, as well as paintings in which color plays a major emotional and mental role, expressing the search, doubts and hopes of a modern person.
The exhibition runs through March 24th.
