The painter Alexander Zimin always gratefully recalls all the teachers from whom he studied - wonderful teachers and great artists. But a special place among them is occupied by his first teacher, Yuri Arkadievich Reshkin. He was the first to discover the art world for his pupil. And the fact that Alexander Zimin chose painting as the main business of his life is his direct merit.
Alexander Zimin was born on November 23, 1970 in Volkhov, Leningrad Region. In 1988 he graduated from the Secondary Art School named after B.V. Johanson at the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1992 to 1994 - freeloader of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin, workshop of prof. IN AND. Reicheta. Since 1999 - Member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg. The first significant exhibition was held in Finland in 1994 ("Koscengalleria", Imatra). Since then, has taken part in more than 60 exhibitions in Russia, the USA, China, Finland, Greece, Estonia, Italy. Prizewinner of the landscape art festival )Carmel, USA) - in 2001 and 2002. Yuri Reshkin was born in Leningrad in 1952. In 1982 he graduated from I.E. Repin (workshop led by D.F. Popov). Graduation work in the CVC - sketches of scenery and costumes for the play by B. Brecht "The Caucasian Cretaceous Circle". The training took place at the faculty of painting, the qualification of a theater artist was awarded. Participant in exhibitions of the Union of Artists (1985-1993). In 1992, at the Museum of the College. IN AND. Mukhina (now the Academy named after A.L. Stieglitz) held a personal exhibition of Yuri Reshkin. In 1994 he emigrated to Israel. He died in 2008.
