October 18 at 16:00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103, second floor) will open the exhibition of artists of the Vladimir School of Painting Honored Artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoly Denisov and Sergei Kremnev.
Anatoly Denisov was born in 1957 in Vladimir, a city rich in its ancient history and culture. Carried away by art at a young age, he studied at the Children’s Art School No. 1, the director of which in those years was graphic artist Vladimir Gavrilovich Leonov.
In 1977, Anatoly Denisov successfully graduated from the Ivanovo Art College, then, in 1984, the Stroganov Higher School of Industrial Art in Moscow. During the years of study in the “planing”, a passion for graphics came, where he made his first etchings.
Returning to his hometown and working in the production workshops of the Vladimir branch of the USSR Art Fund, the young artist devotes all his free time to easel graphics. The creative works of Anatoly Denisov of the 80s are landscapes made using the technique of classical etching, soft varnish, aquatint, lavis.
In parallel with etching, watercolor painting entered the sphere of the artist’s creative interests. Watercolor is often called a feeling captured in color, so great are its possibilities. Work in the watercolor technique is impossible without high professionalism, it implies artistry and virtuosity of the master. She is mobile and unexpected, work with her is always creativity and improvisation, it is known that there cannot be two identical works made in the watercolor technique.
The artist is constantly improving, working on himself, and with certainty we can say that today he has reached a high professional and creative level.
Sergei Kremnev was born in the city of Ivanovo in 1953. Sergey’s creative nature manifested itself from early childhood. He graduated from a children’s art school and later the faculty of decoration and colorization of fabrics at the Ivanovo Chemical Technology College (now the school of industrial design). He worked for many years as a textile artist. The fabrics with his drawings at the All-Union Art Councils were distinguished by a peculiar style and were accepted, as a rule, with excellent marks.
Since the late nineties, Sergei became interested in the Vladimir School of Painting. At first, collecting, and later he began to write, and was accepted into the Union of Artists of Russia. Having plunged into the color world of the wonderful works of Vladimir masters, Sergey takes up his brush and in a short time becomes one of the prominent representatives of the school of Vladimir landscape. His work received recognition from the audience and collectors, became recognizable. Despite belonging to the Vladimir School of Painting, paintings by Sergei Kremnev have their own special, unusual color scheme. Over the years, working with color, the artist achieved a high craftsmanship in the color presentation of the landscape. His works always stand out spectacularly at exhibitions for their originality and novelty of artistic solutions. Sergey’s paintings are diverse in their plots. Here, and landscape, and still life, and nudity. His works are endowed with a bright personality. For several years, Sergey has been actively participating in exhibitions organized by the Vladimir Union of Artists. He is a participant in many exhibitions in Vladimir and in Moscow. His paintings fit perfectly into any interior and create a positive mood. If you revise the well-known catch phrase “not a day without a line”, you can safely say a day without a brush about it…. For several years now, Sergei Kremnev has been a participant in international open airs in the village of Eliseikovo, organized by the director of the museum, Levitan Kosyarumov V.I., together with the Vladimir branch of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. Sergey has great creative potential. His works are in private collections in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Israel, China and the collection of the Vladimir Center for the Promotion of Fine Arts.
