The imagery of the history of the Moscow organization of the Union of Artists coincides with the history of our country, it all consists of individuals, but today it is not enough to talk about individuals, it is time to discover a new integrity and new organic connections. The route through historical reality, laid by this large organism of the Union of Artists, was never linear; carefully thought-out strategies were always present in it, but with an open ending. The sense of time to which this epic obeys is completely impossible to perceive in a linear sequence - it requires completely different spatial models - not the space of scientific thought, not the space of a rational look, but the space of experimental imagery, emotional living sympathy, which allows structuring this stream of artistic worlds and events.
Archive and art section, paintings by recognized masters of Soviet art from the MOA collection and private collections, works by contemporary authors, members of the Moscow Union of Artists. The viewer, moving from one segment of the exhibition to the next, in this complex artistic topography becomes part of a single scenario not only through personal experience, but also through the semantic experience of moving along the line of fate of visual culture.
