Exhibition of art photography "Serpukhov, which I love" Automatic translate
From August 22 to September 2, 2012, at the State Exhibition Hall "On Kashirka" with the participation of the Serpukhov Art Museum, an exhibition of veterans of the Ratep plant (Serpukhov), Vladimir Kotelkin and Alexei Leman, will be held.
The exposition was made by the work of two amateur photographers, veterans of the enterprise of JSC "RATEP" Vladimir Kotyolkin and Alexei Leman. Occupation with scientific and technical developments in the field of military industry did not deprive them of a romantic outlook on life. Both authors have been fond of photography since childhood. Their biographies are very similar in many ways, starting with the first steps in photography. A special role in their formation as photographers was provided by their parents. For Vladimir Kotyolkin, the father’s present is still the most expensive gift - the Zorkiy-5 camera, which for many years has been his companion on long trips and family celebrations. Aleksey Lehman’s journey into the world of photography was also determined by his parents ’present — the amateur medium-sized camera, which opened up endless horizons for him to realize his own artistic ideas and creative ideas.
Having turned photography into a hobby, Vladimir and Alexey improved throughout their lives, studying the theory and practice of this art form. Responsible attitude to any activity, both professional and creative, is reflected in the rich track record and numerous awards of the authors.
The main subjects that captivate photographers are, at first glance, simple and unpretentious. This is the usual life of a provincial town, portraits of its inhabitants, landscapes of the surroundings. But there is some inexplicable charm in each presented picture that attracts the viewer’s eyes - this is the genuine love of the authors for everything that they see through a photo lens.
Artistry is given to the work not by decorative effects or knowledge of computer programs, but by skill in conveying the surrounding reality. The life of the city appears before the viewer in its idealized form. The authors show Serpukhov as they would like to see him always. The blue of the rivers and the lush green of the forests in the summer, sparkling white snow in the winter, always the good-natured and cheerful townspeople - this is the ideal city for Vladimir Kotelkin and Alexei Leman. In their photographs there is no place for a technogenic and aggressive city, no place for pretentiousness or shocking.
In addition to artistic interest, the exhibition also has a great significant historical aspect, since the exposition includes works made for more than half a century (from 1961 to 2012), which makes them even more valuable, turning them into unique historical documents. That is why the authors call themselves “custodians of memory”, leading “fossil record” of Serpukhov.
