Artmuse will present a large exhibition of artistic textiles by Polina Kozyreva: prints of reality, memories and beauty of the world in silk-screen printing and graphics.
For a graduate of the Academy A. L. Stieglitz is the second solo exhibition. Her method of creativity and perception is purely sensual: it is not enough just to find an object, it is important to capture its uniqueness, capture the outline on paper, and subsequently recreate it on fabric, thereby creating your own special world, using all kinds of decorative techniques with inspiration, but at the same time not violating the original forms..
Most of the drawings that are used in printed stencils carry the memory of travels or certain life, and sometimes festive events, whether it be a bouquet of tulips or chrysanthemums presented to loved ones, linden branches collected on the Gulf of Finland or eucalyptus leaves brought from Greece. “By saving images of plants on paper and then converting them into a printed print on fabric, I not only show the beauty of plants and flowers, but also remember the moments of happiness, give them a second life, a second wind,” explains Polina.
The exhibition project is being prepared by Marina Gurevich, curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and will open on 29 March in the presence of the author. Polina Kozyreva is a young author, born in Leningrad in 1991 in a family of artists. Since 2012, she has been a teacher of additional education of the first category. Participant of various exhibitions of the city and international level, visiting plein-airs and pedagogical exhibitions; creates designer textiles in various techniques - silk-screen printing, free painting, batik and felt.
