An exhibition-festival of the participants of the program “Cascade. Project as a Method ”- an interinstitutional project school for adolescents, operating on the basis of the museum for a year.

This is the second exhibition of "Cascade", the purpose of which is to involve teenagers in the cultural life of the city.

During the academic year, 180 teenagers aged 12 to 18 worked together with renowned artists and curators at three exhibition sites in Moscow (Museum of Moscow, Triumph Gallery of Contemporary Art, Ground Solyanka Gallery) to create their own projects, conceptually independent from each other.

During the training, the participants from Moscow and the regions were divided into 15 groups, each of them chose the most suitable and interesting medium: performances, installations, paintings, drawings, zines, video and audio works.

The result of this work was the exhibition “≈ always except when not”. Each of the presented projects is a sincere statement on the themes of personal boundaries, dialogue between generations, understanding of their own age from adolescents from different cities of Russia.

The mediums chosen by teenagers will be reflected in the sections: "The Art of Action", "Installation", "Art & Language", "Sound Environment", "Digital", "Sculpture and Graphics", "Making an Exhibition", Production, "Museum and the City", "Art cabaret ”,“ Multimedia Journalism ”, Deaf Teens, as well as regional participants.

Last year, the Cascade exhibition was held at the Triumph Gallery of Contemporary Art, where the works of more than 100 graduates of the school were shown. The exhibition was attended by over eight thousand people in 12 days.
