Chinese Wu Pensheng graduated from the Russian Academy of Arts. Repin, as a result of which an individual author’s style was formed, in which the traditions of the Asian culture of ownership of color and composition were combined with the foundations of the Russian academic art school.

Having chosen for himself the realism, known for its multivariate field for experiments, Pensheng uses the full power of painting effects, giving its canvases its scope and monumentality, which do not detract from the decorative details.

In Pensheng, on his canvases, he subtly ridicules human vices, dressing them in funny, and sometimes repulsive, images. In Orwellian style, pigs drinking at the table, biting at the liver, young men carving a naked beauty like a cake…

The artist sets himself the task of transmitting to his viewer the idea of ​​the transience of time, urging to fill with meaning every moment of his existence.
