Last summer 2014, the artist was on a creative business trip in Khakassia and in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Using the vast material (petroglyphs) presented by the ethnographer Zaika A., as well as his own photographs and drawings made while visiting the Shalabolinsky writings (Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kuraginsky District) and the Ethnographic Museum (Abakan), the author wrote a series of paintings and graphic works “Breath” millennia. ”

What task did the artist set himself when creating these works?

“I wanted the viewer to not only see these ancient drawings that were transferred to my paintings without distortion (only their scale was changed), but I could look at the world through them through the eyes of an ancient person.”

Spectators are waiting for ritual dances around the fire, running horses, intrigues of tribal leaders, battles of ancient people, boat chases, and he will be able to look into the eyes of his ancestors - to see the masks that convey the diversity of characters of that time (the picture “We look at you through 20,000 years"). Licenses are rock carvings of faces by ancient people found on the banks of the Yenisei and Lower Angara. Sometimes lyrical, sometimes disturbing paintings convey the mood of the author and surprise the viewer with an unusual, peculiar combination of ancient symbols and wildlife.

The exhibition will also feature works written in the habitats of ancient people. Visitors will see landscapes filled with the power of life and the breath of millennia.
