Under these conditions, we are curious about a young man who receives a classical education and continues to paint. We place it in the space of the START site, inviting viewers to look not so much at the work of art, but at the artist himself and his medium - monumental painting. "

In the sketches of future paintings, antiquity is adjacent to the Middle Ages and modernity. In the process of Vladimir Kartashov’s work, scenes from the life of the heroes of the “new time” that exist simultaneously in several quasi-historical layers will appear on the walls. Through everyday life with its recognizable symbols of mass culture, semi-mythical images of the past erupt - barbed wire encircles antique columns, and centaurs in motorcycle helmets jump along the streets of the cities of the future.
