Exhibition of Vladimir Borodin "World of Light" in the contemporary art gallery "Moss-18" Automatic translate
The Gallery of Modern Art “Mokhovaya-18” from April 13 to May 11, 2015 presents a personal exhibition of the artist Vladimir Borodin “World of Light”.
The Mokhovaya-18 Gallery of Contemporary Art will host an exhibition of Russian painter Vladimir Borodin, who has been nicknamed “Colorist” in the circles of Western collectors. The artist in 1959 graduated from the Department of Painting of the Republican Art College. I. E. Repina (Chisinau, Republic of Moldova), and in 1976 he graduated from the Lvov Art School V.I. Mukhina (now St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy named after A.L. Stieglitz). A painter who deserves a special study of his color theory, his philosophy of symbolic-romantic realism in the cycles: “Color Vibrations”, “World of Light”, “Sounds of the Universe”, etc. Vladimir Borodin devotes a lot of time to studying world culture, preferring Russian and Chinese philosophy (literature of Vladimir Solovyov, Nikolay Berdyaev, Confucius). In his works, statics echoes incredible expression, calm transparent watercolor tones with dense, bright strokes, graphic art, sharpness of lines with obscure images dissolving in color fog. Most of the artist’s works are the result of a travel experience: from the coast of France in the west to the Altai mountains in the east, from Russian villages in the north to the Holy Land in the south, from the Baltic to the Yellow Sea. In each trip, the artist draws material for creativity, capturing the beauty of the world. At this exposition, the artist will present a series of graphic sheets executed during a trip to South Korea with Boris Eifman’s ballet theater troupe.
The paintings of Vladimir Borodin are in the collections of the A. Hammer Foundation, Beijing National Museum of Art (PRC), G. Kohl and M. Gorbachev, as well as in many private collections in Russia, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, USA, Canada, Israel, South Korea and China.
The exhibition can be visited daily from 11.30 to 19.30, the day off is Sunday.
