An innovative exhibition project by masters of digital art technology is opened in the Nagornaya gallery of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association with the support of the Creative Union of Russian Artists and the Visart Foundation for the Development of Visual Art.
The project "Virtual Realism 1. 0" is a continuation of a series of projects and is designed to show innovative technologies in contemporary art. Stereolight panels and digital HD pictures will introduce and immerse the viewer into the world of new virtuality with the help of 3D glasses.
10 domestic authors working with digital projections and using multi-touch monitors reveal previously unexplored opportunities for creating artistic images of the web-intelligence era, while remaining a follower of the academic school of art.
The exhibition presents works that accumulate relevant architectural experience, digital technology and a keen interest in social topics. All of them were created in the period from 2005 to 2018. Spectators will see a visual contrast of a combination of traditional easel art (canvas, ultra-chrome print) and modern achievements in the field of photography, video art and digital art.
The project is accompanied by a rich program of events that will go on throughout the exhibition: master classes with artists will be interesting for children and adults and the professional community.
“The contact of two worlds - the real and the virtual. In the first case - a holographic pyramid - a virtual character is placed in the real world, and the viewer can interact with him using a computer mouse. In the second, on the contrary, the spectator, wearing the VR helmet, becomes a part of another world inhabited by phantom creatures… ” (Natalya Lamanova, project participant)
