The exhibition “Increase or blow up” is a homage to the series of paintings “Happy Friends”, as well as the exhibition of the same name, which was held with great success in St. Petersburg 11 years ago. This exhibition was the first personal project of Oleg Maslov after the collapse of the famous non-academic duo "Oleg and Victor".
Over the 11 years, the author undertook several lengthy creative expeditions to Morocco, where, like Yves Saint Laurent and Matisse, he admired the combinations of open flowers in folk art. Therefore, a series of paintings in 2018 was made in a more conventional eccentric manner, with acrylic. By resorting to the blow up method of some fragments of the main plot, the author takes us to childhood, when the holidays seemed endless, and country flowers bright and large.
