On October 08, an exhibition devoted to the theme of overcoming gravity, flight as a metaphor for freedom, opens in the Nagornaya gallery of the Exhibition Halls of Moscow Association.
The development of a new space, separation from the earth and free floating hovered the minds of mankind since ancient times - from avant-garde utopias to the technical revolution. Famous Moscow artists with dissimilar aesthetic attitudes, locally drawing closer together in a single exhibition space, are discussing the themes of flight, overcoming all the conventions of a holistic world through its existence.
The method of moving in space is not important here, as is the author’s technique and the plot. If in some it is connected with physics with the help of an aircraft, in others it is connected with the spiritual state and emotional recovery: flying in a balloon, airplane, swing, in a jump, in a dream, the flight of thought or trance is meditative. Flying as a way of expanding life on and off the Earth, with transboundary and relativity. Reality or virtual consciousness allows you to be in a state of flight-movement.
Flying as a complex universal form of movement in the context of human socio-natural activity, the way of moving in space is inextricably linked with the balance of its capabilities.
The exhibition will feature works of contemporary art by 20 artists - painting, graphics, objects, installation, video.
Project participants: Semen Agroskin, Igor Andreev, Tanya Antoshina, German Vinogradov, Olga Gorokhova, Lisa Zhilkina, Elena Kovilina, Tatyana Krol, Vladimir Mogilevsky, Gosha Ostretsov, Alexander Savko, Yuri Tatyanin, Oleg Tyrkin, Mikhail Sidlin, Mari Sokol, Dasha Fursey, Alexander Shaburov et al.
