The exhibition presents to the Moscow audience the work of the creative team “Kazan Posad” - a community of professional artists, members of the Creative Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan (arts and crafts section) of the Kazan State Institute of Culture and Student Youth Institute. This project was implemented with the support of the Volga branch of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

Project participants: Alexander V. Sergeev (head of the Department of Design and Design, KazGIK), Liliya Ivanovich Kazantseva (deputy dean of the Institute of Physical Culture and Art), department teachers Andrey Makhinin, Sergey Leonidovich Grigoryev, Pavel Igorevich Kharitonov and Valentina Berdnikova, Valentina Merzlyakova, Valentina Gibadova, Dinara, Anna Bozina, Marenich Alexandra, Kamalova Gulsum, Shumilova Daria.

The exposition presents the works of various authors, united by a common view on the creative process. I am pleased with the variety of artistic manners and the brightness of individuals, the richness of the color palette, the courage of imagination and creative search. Here the motives of the past and the present sound simultaneously.

All work was carried out under the general motto: "The house is good there, where the neighbors are friends." And if for ordinary people the courtyard is just a public place, for the artist it is a whole world that makes it possible to observe and sketch artly. The plots of many works - an event taking place in the yard, or simply life "outside". It can be a friendly feast with songs, a group of fun kids, a big streak, fishing or building a birdhouse. Many will find the plot with an old woman familiar to them, for which the life of the courtyard is a kind of theatrical stage.

The design of the exposition involves the recreation of the atmosphere of the courtyard, filled with friendly characters, attention to everyday life without fuss and haste. The yard is a place where inquisitive visionaries, kind, sympathetic and talented heroes are born.

The viewer is faced with subject painting, in which echoes of cubism, naivism and other avant-garde movements, combined with elements of national traditions, are guessed. Careful work on the details helps to very accurately express certain moods, characters, which is one of the main features of the team.

The exhibition allows us to present the diversity of interests of the artists of the association, the depth of their worldview positions, the courage of art searches and at the same time an inquisitive interest in the world around.
