On February 5, at the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan), a personal exhibition of Svetlana Bogatyr “Sound = Image = Light” opens. An artist from France presents his works in Kazan for the first time. Previously, Kazan spectators had the only opportunity to meet with her work at the world premiere of “Dona Nobis Pacem” (“Give us peace”) at the M. Dzhalil Opera and Ballet Theater, staged by the world ballet legend by director and choreographer Vladimir Vasilyev on C- Inspired by the unique language and philosophical depth of Svetlana Bogatyr’s art, the Maestro laid the foundation for the visual series of the performance, drawing the artist’s drawings in ultramodern 3D computer graphics. The artist’s images consist of numbers and notes or countless human profiles that form limitless universes.
Svetlana Bogatyr has 35 personal and more than 50 group exhibitions. Svetlana Bogatyr’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg; Saratov Art Museum named after A.N. Radishchev, Saratov; Tbilisi Museum of Fine Arts, Tbilisi; State Literary Museum, Moscow; Glinka State Museum of Musical Culture, Moscow; A. N. Scriabin Museum, S. Prokofiev Museum, Rachmaninoff Museum, Zimmerli Museum of Fine Arts, USA; Museum of Contemporary Russian Art, New Jersey, USA; Russian House, Washington, USA; Collections of the Mediterranean Institute of Neurobiology (INMED), France, as well as in private collections in Russia, Europe and America.
The opening of the exhibition on February 5 is timed to coincide with the new show in Kazan of the play “Dona Nobis Pacem”, which will be attended by Vladimir Vasilyev. At the invitation of the theater and museum, the artist Svetlana Bogatyr also comes to Kazan to attend the performance and the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition features about 130 paintings and graphic works by the artist.
The exhibition runs until March 10, 2016.
Opening hours of the Gallery of Modern Art of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts:
VT, SR, Fri, Sat, Sun: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., ticket office (entrance) from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.;
Thurs: from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., ticket office (entrance) from 10 a.m. to 17.30. Mon: closed.
The last Tuesday of the month is a sanitary day.
