The exhibition halls of Moscow and the Moscow Center for Museum Development present at the Nagornaya Gallery the exhibition “Pages of Russian History”.
Gallery "Nagornaya" presents an exhibition of educational works by students of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov.
The historical picture has always been given great importance. The Academy of Ilya Glazunov pays great attention to the revival of historical paintings, as one of the most difficult genres of painting. It is no accident that the books on Russian history that are being published are illustrated by the works of famous artists - Vasily Surikov, Ilya Repin, Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Nesterov - as well as the works of students and graduates of our Academy. More than sixty works testify to the preservation of realistic mastery, to the revival of the very concept of "picture". Part of the work will be presented at the exhibition “Pages of Russian History”:
- “The Poles lead St. Hermogenes to the dungeon ”V. Morgun (thesis, 2008, workshop of historical and religious painting, leader I. Glazunov)
- “Inmates of the Pokrovsky Suzdal Monastery” by E. Kamynina (small diploma, 2006, supervisor Yu. Sergeev)
- “Yuri Dolgoruky” E. Gakh (small diploma, 2007, supervisor Yu. Sergeev)
- “Old Russian Wedding” by O. Tsvetaeva (small diploma, 2004, supervisor Yu. Sergeev)
- “Tatar prince” S. Golubechkova (course work 4 courses, leader I. Glazunov).
The purpose of the exhibition is to confirm the capabilities of the school of high realism, as a universal method of solving artistic problems.
