March 20 at 16.00 in the Estate V.P. Sukachev (st. December Events, 112) opens an exhibition of contemporary Buryat artists "My Homeland" ("Mini nyutag"). The exhibition brought together authors from three Russian regions: the Irkutsk region, the Republic of Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal Territory. All of them participated in the Winter Yokhor zonal exhibition-competition, which was held at the National Museum of the Ust-Orda Buryat Okrug in honor of the White Month (Sagaalgan).
The origins of artists and the motives of some works trace the shamanic roots, traditions of Buddhist art, features of the Russian (European) school, as well as a peculiar synthesis of the traditions of Buryat and European art. The exposition presents painting, graphics, arts and crafts, as well as some works of children and teachers of the Art School, art and arts and crafts departments of the Children’s Art School of the Ust-Orda Territorial Methodical Association.
Among the artists are both famous names and authors whose work the public will discover for the first time. Here you can see the works of Karl Shulunov, Angelica Alsatkina, Vladislav Urbakhanov, Valentina Azhunova, Evgeny Bolsoboev, Marina Dagdanova, Yuri Ermolaev, Arsalan Zandraev, Alexander Imedeev, Eduard Kuklin, Sergey Pisarev, Namzhilma Erdine. All artists participating in the exhibition have a secondary or higher art education, many authors graduated from the Irkutsk Art School.
