The traveling exposition “Treasures of Russian Museums” was created as part of the national project “Culture” by the Patriarchal Council for Culture with the participation of the project “Russia - My History”, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum and Exhibition Center “ROSIZO” and the “Breakthrough” fund. The curatorial group of the project was headed by the Director General of the Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova.
The chronological exhibition collection “Treasures of Russian Museums” covers the period from the 18th to the second half of the 20th century and includes works from icon painting to socialist realism created by key Russian artists and collected from different parts of the country. Art historians and historians selected the best works to show Russian art in all its diversity. The exhibition presents all genres of painting: portrait (ceremonial, provincial), landscape (from north to south of Russia), historical paintings and genre scenes.
At the exhibition in the Perm Gallery, viewers will see canvases iconic for the history of Russian culture of artists. Works for the Perm exhibition are provided from 17 museums in Russia. Among them are Vladimir-Suzdal, Rostov-Yaroslavl, Kostroma and Rybinsk historical-architectural and art museums-reserves, Sergiev Posad historical and art museum-reserve, Panorama Museum "Battle of Borodino", Ivanovo Art Museum, Smolensk Museum-Reserve, Omsky Museum of Fine Arts and others.
