On November 8, at the Information and Educational and Exhibition Center of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103, the blue hall), the exhibition "Death of the Poet" begins, ending the cycle "Hearing about me will pass through the whole of Great Russia…" dedicated to the 220th anniversary of birthday of A.S. Pushkin.
The exhibition presents the works of domestic masters of the XX century, made in the technique of oil painting, etching and autolithography. A small exhibition includes four works from the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, including the portrait of A.S. Pushkin, representing the poet on the day of the fateful duel. The visitor will also be able to get acquainted with images of memorial sites associated with the name of the great poet: the first pedestal, installed in the 1890s at the site of a mortal wound, a view of the Svyatogorsky monastery, where the poet and the first monument to A.S. Pushkin, erected in Moscow, are buried in 1880.
The exhibition runs until December 22.
