Photographer Sasha Gentsis invites you to celebrate his 50th birthday and 20 years of exhibition activity with a photo exhibition, which will be held from August 20 to September 3, 2021.

The exhibition will feature about 50 works of different years, both new and already familiar to the viewer, united by the theme of choosing between two opposing extremes - the untouched ecosystem of nature and the industrial logic of production.

At the polar poles of the exhibition space, on the one hand, breathtaking landscapes are presented, and, on the other, the factory premises of industrial giants. Landscapes from the new Industrial Iceland series, which harmoniously combine the beauty of the natural landscape with the functionality of geothermal power plant structures, as well as works from the Steering Skies series, presenting the interiors of aircraft cabins created by human hands and allowing see pictures hidden from everyday sight.

The plot and artistic balance between photographic ideas and their computer processing emphasizes the depth of the problem, which consists in the collision of nature and man, natural and artificial, reality and creative fiction.

Thus, this exhibition is a reflection on technological prosperity, respect for nature, and the search for common sense in the here and now.

A presentation of a new exclusive NFT-work by Sasha Gentsis is also planned for the opening of the exhibition "Nature or Progress".
