Exhibition "Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso" in the gallery "On Kashirka" Automatic translate
For the first time in world practice, the works of two of the greatest Spanish artists of our time will meet at one exhibition site in Moscow. The organizers of the exhibition project are Russian businessman, collector and philanthropist Alexander Shadrin and the gallery on Kashirka.
All works presented at the exhibition are the property of the collector and were previously acquired:
- bronze sculptures and lithographs of Salvador Dali by Benjamin Levy (Paris Museum of Salvador Dali);
- engravings by Salvador Dali by Jean-Christophe Argile son and heir Pierre Argile);
- Pablo Picasso ceramics purchased at the famous Christie’s auction in June 2012 (inheritance of the Ramier family, Madura Gallery);
- part of the graphics and ceramics of Salvador Dali and the graphics of Pablo Picasso were acquired from famous collectors, in galleries and auction houses in Europe.
The collection has been formed over the past 15 years.
The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that for the first time Pablo Picasso’s ceramics will be shown together with the ceramics of Salvador Dali. For comparison: in the Hermitage there are only 14 ceramic objects of Pablo Picasso donated by Nadia Leger. The Moscow audience will be presented with 30 ceramics from the former famous collection of the Ramier family, in which Pablo Picasso created all his ceramic works in the Madura workshop.
In the “On Kashirka” gallery, non-stop films on two screens will show excursion films in which collector Alexander Shadrin will talk about his collection.
As part of the cultural and educational program of the exhibition, for the first time in Russia, there will be a presentation of a book on the works of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso, which contains valuable information about the origins of the work of the brilliant Spaniards, previously not available to the Russian audience.
For the first time, the book will also present sensational archive data previously unknown to the world public on the study of the genealogy of Elena Dyakonova, whose origin helps to understand the complex and multifaceted image of the genius Salvador Dali’s muse.
The time of the exhibition is from December 25, 2014 to February 22, 2015.
Opening hours: 11.00-20.00, Monday off
Entrance ticket 300 rub.
