A remarkably gifted person and artist, teacher, memoirist, student of the largest Russian realists of the second half of the 19th century - Alexei Savrasov, Vasily Perov and Vasily Polenov, he belonged to a generation of outstanding masters, including the most famous - Mikhail Vrubel, Isaac Levitan, Mikhail Nesterov, Valentin Serov.

Landscapes of Korovin became a classic of Russian painting (at the exhibition in Kazan it is “On the Seashore”, “Stream”, “White Night in Norway”, etc.), portraits (“Portrait of the Artist Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin”, “Portrait of the Artist Tatyana Spiridonovna Lyubatovich”, "Self-portrait") and still lifes of the master ("Lilac", "Roses"). Sunny and optimistic in spirit, full of love for a person, life and native nature, they were a reflection of the search for a “pleasing”, positive ideal, characteristic of the best part of Russian artists of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.

In addition to easel work in various genres, the Russian Museum has a unique collection of monumental panels created for the Russian pavilion of the World Exhibition in Paris (1900). The exhibition in Kazan will feature decorative panels "Rocks on the Seashore", "Birds" and others, as well as sketches of scenery for ballets and operas.
