From March 10 to April 10, an unusual and catchy exhibition by Roman Bogdanov “Fake” will be held at the ARTMUSE. The installation will consist of 11 art objects.
The very name of the exhibition “Fake” automatically evokes associations with the terminology of the Internet space. But in this series of works this word is used in a broader sense and in its original meaning. False goals, false culture, virtual presence, deception by stereotypes inevitably lead to the depreciation of the personality and the meaning of its existence.
The purpose of the project: to show how much, and most importantly, voluntarily humanity acquires a crust of deception throughout life. And in the end, she no longer notices how she completely ceases to be an individual, and compiles a set of habits, stereotypes, becomes a prisoner of other people’s desires. A thin mask of falsehood is eaten into the skin and already ceases to be just protection from the external environment, it begins to take hold of the soul. And at this moment doubts arise about the existence of the personality itself.
This exhibition will help to understand ourselves and get an answer to the main question: “Are we really a set of illusions that we have invented ourselves, but there is nothing behind the fictional reality?”
