Shaking their hips, the slender columns of paradise maidens walk along the cobblestones. The sun is blowing loose hair. The elastic hands of the May wind play with the whiteness of transparent silk, which has fallen in innocent bliss to the gold of swollen piles.
And then the girls from hell roam. Who is in the city!
So that’s the thought. So that’s our exhibition.
The Factory Center for Creative Industries is proud to present the RoCoCo (b) exhibition of the Cupid creative association. Artists Yuri Albert, Paruyr Davtyan, Victor Skersis and Andrei Filippov return to the “Factory” exhibition space and once again turn it into a space of manifestation, irony and mysteries.
The installation of the group consists of parts saturated in form and content: in the hall you can see banners, canvas-banners, a pool traditional for the collective and the highest (in every sense) tribune, which the demonstrator artists play a special symbolic role. The sensual training ground of Cupids is located in the Olivier exhibition hall, in the past it was a cast coating workshop, whose brutality and temple architecture readily respond to the cry of artists today.
The Cupid creative association was created in 2008 by three representatives of the Moscow conceptual school Yuri Albert, Victor Skersis and Andrey Filippov, in 2015 Paruyr Davtyan joined them. During its existence, the association has implemented six large-scale exhibition projects: “Vitya and Hares. Fragma, Pragma, Enigma. Т / о "Cupid" (Project Factory, Moscow, 2008); “Show and Tell: Omut” (Stella Art Foundation, Moscow, 2009); “Water abstraction” (“Factory”, Moscow, 2010); “Caspar, David, Friedrich. At the exhibition “Aesthetics against Information” (Center for Cultural Communication, Klaipeda, 2010); “Metamorphus” (Stella Art Foundation, Moscow, 2011); “Station Caretaker” (Stella Art Foundation, Moscow, 2015), “The Gang” (Stella Art Foundation, Moscow, 2017).
