From 2 to 13 December, the REMINICENCE exposition will be opened at the Catherine Assembly. This is an art collaboration between the French artist Christophe Kalezh and the author of conceptual poetry Irena Sans. The exhibition continues the series of projects of the Petersburg-concert in the field of contemporary art. The exhibition will include illustrations created by Christophe Kalezha for the book by Irena Sans "Reminiscence". On the opening day of the exhibition, St. Petersburgers will have a musical and poetry evening, in which Essay Quintet and Tatiana Ilyushkina (piano) will take part. The atmosphere of Paris will be recreated by works from the repertoire of Charles Aznavour, Michel Legrand, the Paul Mauriat orchestra and other authors and performers.
Christophe Calleja is a French contemporary artist. Lives and works in Paris. Has Russian roots on the maternal side. The author creates painting and graphics not only by means familiar and traditional for the artist, such as paints, pencils, ink, ink or pastel, but also using ash, fire, blood and other materials and techniques.
In his works, Christophe depicts beautiful strangers, these images are very diverse - from romantic to tough, tense, filled with inner pain of the soul, personal drama. The seeming simplicity of the repetitive images of Christoph Kalezh hides a deep experience conveyed through the image of a girl. The artist constantly paints the face of a certain nameless model, possibly experiencing his own drama with her.
The exhibition is organized jointly with the Moika 104 gallery, curated by Svetlana Kuropatkina.
