November 28, 2019 in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts (Prechistenka 21), an exhibition of works by the famous ceramics master, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts Valentina Georgievna Kuznetsova will open.
The exhibition has about 60 works of the last few years. Many of them will be presented for the first time.
The viewer is well acquainted with the works of the author. V. Kuznetsova is a participant in more than 80 art exhibitions held in various cities of Russia and foreign countries - Prague, Warsaw, Salzburg and Barcelona. The author’s works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art in Moscow, the Belgorod State Art Museum, the Resurrection Art Gallery, the Miras, Ural Galleries, as well as in private collections in Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Italy, United Arab Emirates, USA, Finland, France, Japan, etc.
V. Kuznetsova was born in the village of the Resurrection Republic of Bashkortostan in 1949. She graduated from the painting department of the Ufa College of Arts and the faculty of theory and history of art of the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin. He has been engaged in ceramics since the late 1970s. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Moscow Union of Artists. The monumental works of V. Kuznetsova adorn the administrative and public buildings of Ufa, Nizhnevartovsk, Sterlitamak and other cities. V. Kuznetsova - winner of the prize named after artists Victor and Apollinarius Vasnetsov, was awarded the Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow Union of Artists.
“I always want to do ceramics, this joy is unspeakable. The theme of my work is simple: what I see, remember what I think about, I "sing". But I see and feel the world created by God. " "God is love. He who does not love does not know God. ” This is how the amazing artist Valentina Kuznetsova creates - like the hymn of Love - her unusual ceramic world. The anthem of Love - merciful, reconciling, healing, which "is patient, covers everything, believes everything, hopes everything, transfers everything."
Simplicity is one of the important advantages of the works of Valentina Kuznetsova. Simplicity in life and especially in art is a high and elusive quality. The simplicity of her work is by no means “naive” or “primitive”. It is the result of the artist’s thoughtful, professional work, aimed primarily at revealing the image. Her handwriting. And yet, the simplicity of the plots, the simplicity and artlessness of the relations of her heroes, the special plastic simplicity cannot explain the whole magic of the effect of her ceramics on the feelings and hearts of people. Perhaps it is based on the beauty of native nature, the warmth of the family,
A reverent attitude to the rich traditions of the village and to literature received from parents-teachers, support of her father in her early passion for art. Unforgettable communication with the famous Moscow artists who came in the 1960s, former students of the Moscow Secondary School of Art (MAKSH), who lived in Voskresensky for more than two years in evacuation during the war.
All the works of V. Kuznetsova, whether portraits, genre compositions, works on biblical subjects, which formed the basis of the exposition, embody the author’s worldview, the gamut of complex and deep human feelings. They find their plastic embodiment in the compositional solution, the movements of the characters and, with special expressiveness, in the gesture of touching, touching hands. Hands give comfort, compassion, protection, and forgiveness. Endless tenderness and happiness in the hands of a mother caressing a baby or a grown child "I am with you." No less expressive are man’s hands cradling the long-awaited granddaughter on his shoulder, or the hands of Simeon the God-Receiver, who reverently hold the baby Jesus. Kindness and pacification in the hands of the mother, clutching her daughter, who returned after a long separation, are all-forgiving hands full of comfort and joy of finding their adult child. The picturesque portraits from the series "My Contemporaries", decorating a series of ceramic plates are just as soulful.
Flowers are also one of the favorite and significant themes in the work of Valentina Kuznetsova. Work on this topic accounted for a significant part of the exposition. Flowers in female hands: hugging a bouquet from a loved one, a sad bouquet of the last date lying on her lap, the song "My bells…" and unpretentious forget-me-nots in the girl’s hands. Archangel Gabriel with white lilies - a symbol of the Annunciation. And just the flowers. There are a lot of them, different - molded, captivating in color and plastic, in vases, in bouquets, whole “Blooming Glades”, with their mood, “intonation”.
The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to get in touch with the work of an amazing master, whose works give the viewer love and warmth and help open his heart.
