The Russian Academy of Arts presents an exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Mlada Konstantinovna Finogenova. The retrospective exhibition presents more than 100 paintings and graphic works created by the author in different periods of his artistic biography. The artist’s canvases contain lyrical landscapes, interiors and genre paintings, but most of his works are devoted to the theme of the house as the center of the universe. “It seems to me that every person begins to perceive the world through the perception of their home, through their attitude to it. The desire to share my love for the surrounding nature, home, light possess me so strongly that painting itself is only a means of conveying my feelings ”- the master comments on his work.
Mlada Konstantinovna began her professional career in the seventies of the last century. Winter landscapes of that period are distinguished by a clear, clear composition, expressive plots, and inviting placards. But at the same time, they fit into the best traditions of Soviet art, recalling the works of A. A. Deineka and G. G. Nyssa. However, in the process of formation of creativity M. Finogenova managed to create her own, unique style.
The Russian House became the main theme of Mlada Finogenova: depicted at different times of the year, on a warm evening or on a hot afternoon, it is the center of the universe around which time passes. Such an effect would have been impossible without masterly mastery of artistic techniques. An intimate perception of home and nature arises from a color-balanced variety of colors. The color is never motley, it does not tear the surface of the canvas. Calm color sound is included in the image of a harmonious life of the inhabitants of the plot action. The foreground and background are interpreted by the master as a single, integral space, the perspective does not rest against the distant expanses behind the terrace or window. In the works of Mlada Finogenova, the intimacy of the interior is suddenly taken out into the open landscape, and the harmony of the Russian landscape returns to the interior.
According to Mlada Konstantinovna, she and her family specially settled in the village of Borisoglebsk, far from the bustle of the capital, where they "found their spiritual homeland." Ancient monuments of Russian history, the Borisoglebsky monastery, churches, their harmony with picturesque nature and a leisurely lifestyle that preserves the cultural traditions of the Russian province, had a great influence on the artist and were a source of constant creative inspiration for her. In numerous trips across Russia, the geography of which stretched from the Yaroslavl Region to the Bering Sea, the author always finds a quiet corner that would meet her aspirations and become the subject of a new work. You can get acquainted with these extraordinary canvases and graphic sketches at the new exhibition in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts.
