Exhibition of the landscape "Northern Summer" in the gallery "On Novinsky". Automatic translate
Artists of the Tsvet workshop love Karelia and have been painting it for many years. For some it is the homeland, for others uncharted land. Most of the work came directly from the North.
They are written from nature. And Vladimir Staheev writes pictures from memory and transforms natural material into a mysterious combination of northern landscapes with elegant optical illusions.
The north, where cranberry-sized cranberries grow, is a paradise for those travelers who can appreciate the silence, the palpable air, the chthonic thickets. The world of Karelia is different in color and light from landscapes near Moscow. For the artist there is simply delight - an immense horizon, a sky amazing in colors, lace of lichens on centuries-old stones, transparent air, soft light, bizarrely curved pine branches. Thunderstorm and storm waves or absolute calm, a mirror reflecting the coast, silver washed by water of ancient trunks.
It is there that the artists of the Tsvet workshop go every year to take a break from the bustle of the city and, alone with the wild, immersed in silence, draw. At the exhibition, viewers will see new paintings by Dmitry and Antonina Plotnikovs, Vladimir and Irina Stakhaeva, Ekaterina Umnyakhina. Along with oil works, watercolor series will also be presented.
