The exhibition "From Maryino to France" includes about seventy studies and paintings created by painters - graduates of the Institute. I.E. Repin in the park of the Maryino estate and on the outskirts of France (in the Loire Valley and Northern Normandy) - the places where Claude Monet, Vasily Polenov, Konstantin Korovin and other Russian and French painters painted.
Over the three years of the project’s existence, the St. Petersburg Artist Museum and Exhibition Center and Maryino Manor, with the assistance of the Cultural Crossroads Association, have organized a series of exhibitions by Petersburg artists depicting Maryino manor in the castles of Villandry and Bizi. At the same time, open airs took place in France, during which masters from St. Petersburg painted Villandry and Bizi parks, views of Amboise, water gardens of Villarceau, Château du Champs de Bataille, the famous Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny, the castle and gardens in En-les-Vieux, Chatonniere, Chateau Saint-Crespen, Chateau de Avini and many other picturesque corners of France. An exhibition of paintings with views of French castles and the Maryino estate was continued in our country, and has already been successfully held in many cities of Russia - Cherepovets, Tver, Staraya Ladoga, Vladimir, Rozhdestveno Manor, Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Tambov.
The initiator of the exhibition is a St. Petersburg patron and collector, founder of the Petersburg Artist Museum and Exhibition Center and author of the Galino Stepanova Galina Stepanova, a project to restore the Stroganov-Golitsyn historical estate Maryino.
