The exposition of the exhibition “Point of View. Painting. Graphics ”presents both graphic and pictorial works of O. Kuzminova, created in recent years. These are mainly landscapes and still lifes, abstract compositions. Despite various artistic quests in the field of depicting space, color and form, the author works in the spirit of realism, but one can feel the echoes of the avant-garde trends of the early twentieth century. In his graphic works "Spatial Slices" and "Comparison of Things", the artist constructs space and creates objects that fill it with the help of lines and strokes, a restrained color scheme gives a strict sophistication to his works.
The paintings of A.O. Kuzminova is also characterized by a prostate and a lapidary form, a powerful sound of color. Therefore, even small-format landscapes of Kaluga streets from the picturesque cycle “Walk at Dusk. Mayakovka "and a number of other views of Kaluga look expressive and monumental. The series of still lifes "Flower Suite" is distinguished by the severe simplicity of form and decorative sound of color.
In his paintings and graphic works, no matter what topic they are written on, the author concludes a deep philosophical meaning, his poetic vision of the world, revealing through them his own "point of view" on the world: behind the depiction of nature views, city landscapes, everyday objects an image appears earthly existence.
