September 25 at 19.00 - the opening of the exhibition "Reverse Set", which presents a modern mosaic in the works of Italian and Russian authors.
“Reverse Recruitment” is an international project in which artists from Russia and Italy took part: Tatyana Dubovskaya, Maria Vlasova, Alexander Korchuganov, Ksenia Sorokina, Eliza Pennagini, Valeria Erkolani, CaCO3 art association. The artists are focused on the ancient art form that keeps the memory of the power of Rome, the refinement of the East and the luxury of Byzantium. Modern authors offer their perusal of the techniques traditional for mosaics, using the direct and reverse set techniques, using, along with traditional materials - marble and smalt - ceramics, stones, paper. Masters create vibrant works, installations and art objects, entering into a dialogue with the rich heritage of the past. “Reverse set” is a gaze into the past, collective and personal, it is a journey through time through an artistic canvas. The subject of study is a wide variety of topics: the history of mosaic art, cultural traditions and archetypes, unrealized art projects and even a family archive.
The exposition will be located in the exhibition hall “On Kashirka”. Almost all the works exhibited were created in 2014 specifically for the project.
