Painting as a non-verbal language for conveying emotions in the works of Nikolai Denisenko. The artist and engineer will present his conceptual vision of painting at Artmuse: sketches are stories in which instead of letters there is a play of light and shadow.

Nikolai is interested in the process of perception of painting as one of the languages ​​of communication between the artist and the viewer. From childhood, he notes in himself extraordinary emotions from viewing paintings, the impact on all the senses and wonders if painting can be considered a language. If possible, does the concept of a “dead language” apply to it, is the genre really dying? How well does this language fulfill its role in conveying information - do the emotions experienced by the author during creation coincide with those experienced by the viewer when viewing?

A complex metaphysical idea in his work is dressed in minimalistic and expressive landscapes, still lifes and sketches. In each of them - a special play of colors, reflections of light, fog in the shadows. Denisenko is an original artist, driven by his openness to diverse experiences, his artistic style was formed during his life under the influence of work in the studios of more than 20 artists in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Makhachkala and Dubna. He also has a penchant for the exact sciences, so he received his first higher education at MEPhI and subsequently continued to work at the Institute of Nuclear Research. However, he never stopped painting and in 2013 he joined the Creative Union of Russian Artists and the International Art Fund. Regularly participates in exhibitions since 2012, his works are kept in private collections in Russia, Great Britain, China and the USA.

The exhibition will open on 8 February in the presence of the author and will be open for free visits daily until 30 March. Curator - Marina Gurevich.
