From January 21 to February 9, in the exhibition halls of the House of Scientists of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok, an exhibition of the works of Eduard Loginov “Invisible. Revived Altai Petroglyphs. "
Eduard Loginov is a professional artist, for whom the transfer to the canvas of a picture of motifs of real cave paintings and the creation of conceptual works inspired by natural elements has become the main direction in creativity. Today, these works open a new field of Siberian art: at the intersection of philosophy, mythology and science. The artist becomes a conductor of the deep ideas of the ancient worldview, reflected by our distant ancestors in cave paintings. The symbolism of the images of petroglyphs gives rise to new associations, leads to the search for new expressive means of works, special color, and new technologies.
All works are created by the author in solitary autonomous travels in the Altai Mountains.
Even the Siberian artist Vladimir Kapelko in the second half of the twentieth century invented the direct print method from the original cave paintings on mikalent paper. And thereby a huge number of monuments of ancient art were saved. Eduard Loginov, referring to this sphere not just of Siberian, but of universal human heritage, peers into ancient images, carefully transfers them to the fabric and tries to unravel their sacred, invisible at first glance, meaning.
Critics wrote: “The author recreates the mental image behind the petroglyphs onto the fabric and directly refers to the archetype. As in a prophetic dream, we see before us the radiant primitives cleared of everything accidental - moose, deer, tigers and people. The luminiferous figures of people and animals, connected by a primordial bond, evoke associations with the eternal ornaments of the starry sky.
In the sheets of a Siberian artist, antiquity and novelty merge together, the timeless sacred principle and personal emotion complement each other. Peaceful hunt for the traces of the past becomes a ritual, and the artist - a priest, full of natural power. "
This is how the unique project “Invisible. Revived Altai Petroglyphs. " The artist becomes an integral part of the continuous process of not only learning, but also creating new art objects, with his art he generates new knowledge, new myths, emotions, feelings.
His research and artistic experience, crystallized in graphic sheets, paintings, installations, gives us, the audience, the opportunity to approach the secrets of history, the very unknown, through images that reflect the essence of man and his perception of a world changing and eternal for millennia.
We invite you to the exhibition to discover a whole world of new, attractive, interesting.
In the framework of the exhibition, author’s excursions will be organized (January 26, 02.02), and a lecture on Science Day 08.02. Beginning at 15.00.
