From October 22 to November 20, 2016 at VDNH, on the Yak-42 aircraft, the fourth exhibition will be held as part of the competition project “TAKEOFF” - “Not available for adults. A real children’s plane. ” The audience will be presented with an interactive installation of the architect Anna Kozlova. Curator of the exhibition: Sergey Choban.
The fourth exhibition of the take-off project is recommended for family viewing. Her idea was born from the young architect Anna Kozlova when she watched visitors to the space of the Yak-42 plane. It turned out that the main fans of the plane are children aged 5-10 years. So the idea arose of putting “adult space” at the disposal of children. Sex is the most “childish” plane; exploration of the world begins with it. On the floor, the child feels most comfortable and protected. The author turned the floor into an exposition surface. To interest young visitors, Anna suggested adding an element of the game: “secrets” are integrated into the exhibition space, which must be found on a special map. Thanks to the interactive exposition, children will be able to find out interesting facts about the natural sights of Russia.
According to the curator of the project, architect Sergei Choban: “Creating an exposition inside the space of an airplane is a very special task, in many ways unique. After all, each of us has our own memories associated with airplanes, and at the same time, everyone, probably at least once, had the feeling of existence in a completely isolated, capsule world, torn off the earth, where other, unearthly laws apply. ”
The project of Anna Kozlova, who won a serious competition with other applicants, impressed the jury with the formation of a new way of behavior, movement in the proposed circumstances. So, for example, the limited height of the space was turned into its advantages: the aircraft cabin became a playground for children who, together with adults, could live in a new cognitive landscape, feel themselves in a flying machine hovering above the ground - primarily due to the windows located among the playing surfaces - portholes, revealing the beauty of the earth’s surface.
The transformation of familiar space creates a unique atmosphere and dialogue between visitors and exhibits.
Children can view the exhibition on their own or accompanied by adults who decide to accept the rules of the game and enter a soft zone with a low ceiling. Visitors children are allowed in the soft zone without shoes, and adults in shoe covers.
Anna Kozlova after graduating from the graduate course in Moscow worked at the SPEECH bureau. He is currently the lead architect on the WALL team. Anna combines architectural practice with pedagogical one - she teaches at the MARCH undergraduate program.
The project “TAKEOFF” was launched at VDNH on May 21, 2016. His main task was to discover new names and support young professionals in the field of modern culture. The curators of the five areas were Svetlana Taylor (Photography), Elena Selina (Art), Igor Gurovich (Design), Sergey Choban (Architecture) and Olga Shishko (Videoart).
