March 16 at 16:00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103) opens the exhibition of Natalia Pavlovna Ozernoy "Russia through the ages."
Natalia Pavlovna Ozernaya in 1973 graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Art and Industry, department of art textiles. In 1982 she joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. It works mainly in the tapestry technique, that is, manual weaving. The artist performs not only sketches of her tapestries, but also works on a loom, independently translating sketches into material, all of her works are copyrighted.
The works of N. Ozernaya were exhibited at 150 art exhibitions in the exhibition halls of Moscow and other Russian cities. Ozernaya’s works are in the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, in the Museum of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in the funds of the Union of Artists of Russia, in private collections. N. P. Ozernaya was awarded the gold medal “Laureate of the All-Russian Exhibition Center”.
Natalia Pavlovna Ozernaya continues and develops in most of her works the traditional branch of the world story tapestry, which for centuries has successfully carried out historical, mythological, biblical, pastoral and everyday themes. The artist is full of deep interest in the history of Russia, its heroes, commanders, devotees of the spirit, to her native nature, the world of beauty. The bright individuality and special penetration of her tapestries is that built according to all the laws and conditions of applied art, hand-woven and not painted with a brush, they are endowed with universal features of any pictorial genre - expressive pictorial plasticity, the beauty and whims of the silhouette, exquisite decorativeness and richness textured features that match this technique.
The exposition presents works in which treasured topics are raised and solved, specific ideas and meanings, ideologically conditioned images and figures are embodied. They are paid tribute to the author, who thinks sublimely-patriotically, enthusiastically working in a historical and cultural manner. Each image of N. Ozernaya conveys to the viewer carefully, factually reliably and emotionally-voluminously, using a well-thought-out arsenal of compositional, decorative and pictorial means.
(The author of the text is Nikita Ivanov, a member of the Union of Artists and the Union of Writers of the Russian Federation)
