September 6, 2019 at 5 p.m. at the National Art Gallery of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, the Kremlin, the Khazine Museum Complex, 3rd entrance), the opening of the exhibition “On the Way to Infinity”, dedicated to the pages of the history of the Tatar people, will be held
The exhibition presents the works of well-known artists in Tatarstan: Rifkat Vakhitov and Ravil Zagidullin. The exhibition of these artists is organically woven into the overall picture of modern ethnic historical painting, which is the basis of the work of Farit Valiullin, who also represents his work. They are united by an active civic position, successful pedagogical activity, as well as the creation of large-scale paintings on topics of the historical past of the Tatar people.
Rifkat Mukhametovich Vakhitov is a graduate of the Kharkov Art Institute, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia in Tatarstan, a national artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, a master of monumental painting, masterfully mastering various techniques of mosaics, decorative ceramics and painting. The artist fruitfully works in the field of easel painting, where his talent is most fully revealed in the portrait and historical genre. The artist’s search is interesting in the field of historical and mythological painting, where Rifkat Vakhitov creates a poetic, imbued with high lyricism, as if woven from the magic fabric of historical legends, a series of paintings about the ancient Bulgarian land, the Kazan Khanate, the exploits of Idegea.
Ravil Galdelbashirovich Zagidullin graduated from the Kazan Art College, is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honored Artist of Tatarstan, winner of the Baky Urmanche Prize. Ravil Zagidullin is the author of romantic rural landscapes, urban views, as well as large-scale paintings on historical themes, which depict various periods of the Kazan Khanate and the Volga Bulgaria. The artist created dozens of masterpieces included in the Golden Fund of the cultural heritage of the Tatar people.
At the exhibition "On the Way to Infinity", the audience faces events that took place on the land of their ancestors several centuries ago. Studying the history of the Tatar people, artists reconstruct the architecture of those times, life, the appearance of residents, their activities, thus creating an atmosphere of life in ancient cities and settlements.
The exhibition runs until October 7, 2019.
