Lyusya Charskaya is a versatile artist, she works in different techniques and different genres, performs book illustrations, theater sketches, design projects, monumental murals - while demonstrating a high level of professionalism and pictorial culture. In her work, she develops and modernizes academic traditions, creating her own unique pictorial and graphic style. Lusia Charskaya took part in 15 group art exhibitions in Russia and abroad, her personal exhibitions are annually held. The opening exhibition of Lucy Charskaya "Moscow enchantment" presents a series of paintings dedicated to Moscow. This is one of the main topics in the work of the artist. She has been working on a series of these landscapes for five years. All landscapes are united not only by one theme, but even by one canvas format. The exposition includes about forty paintings. The artist called the series of these landscapes “Moscow Charms”, as these paintings show the views of her native city, but in unexpected angles, lighting effects that transform the traditional vision of the motif and fill it with a new imaginative reading. Moscow appears in them, its streets and temples, new areas of the city, seen freshly and in a new way. This impression is greatly facilitated by the manner of writing, based on the modeling of the image by individual pasty strokes, each of which carries a clean, unmixed color. “Moscow on Charskaya’s canvases sounds bright and festive. In the paintings there is an inner light inherent in the capital. A series of landscapes about Moscow serves as a new confirmation of the creative credo, once expressed by L. Charskaya: "In every painting, there is necessarily an organic trinity of painting, music and poetry."
The exhibition will run from June 9 to July 7, 2017 at the premises of the Information and Educational and Exhibition Center of the KIIA (103 Lenin St.).
The museum is open from 10.00 to 18.00, on Saturday from 11.00 to 19.00. Monday is the day off. Contact phone - 8 (4842) 56-28-30.
