Mikhail Flint - bio-oceanologist, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As a researcher and traveler, he traveled to the Arctic and Mongolia, the Galapagos Islands and the Kuril Islands, Baikal and the Kola Peninsula, Wrangel Island, New Zealand, the Antarctic Macquarie Island and the coral atolls of Polynesia, Chukotka, the Aral Sea, the Caspian Sea and the Ustyur Plateau. In recent years, he has led large expeditions of Russia to the Arctic. He considers the organization of photo exhibitions to be the most important part of the photographer’s work, the main opportunity to transfer the viewer to another world and tell how beautiful and diverse the Earth on which we live.
The exposition includes about 60 original photographs telling about the unique nature of the Arctic Novaya Zemlya archipelago, the endangered Aral Sea and the Ustyurt protected plateau, temperamentally crazy rivers, emerald lakes and mountain gorges of Kyrgyzstan, stunning imagination of unearthly landscapes of the Mangystau peninsula.
The photo exhibition will last from March 1 to March 30. Entrance to the opening (Friday, March 1, at 18.00) is free.
On the remaining days, visiting the exhibition with an entrance ticket to the gallery (full ticket - 300 rubles, students and schoolchildren - 200 rubles, pensioners - 150 rubles).
