From December 14, 2016 to January 22, 2017, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art will host an exhibition of artworks by masters of decorative, applied, jewelry and Orthodox art, organized with the active participation of the Creative Union of Decorative and Applied Artists.
2016 is the year of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Carl Faberge. Products by artists who continue the tradition of Faberge jewelry house will occupy a central place in the exhibition.
The exhibition will feature exhibits in areas such as jewelry, stone-cutting, enamel and decorative art, lacquer miniatures, bone and wood carvings, and Orthodox art. In particular, it will be possible to see the works of outstanding contemporary artists: Alexander Agafonov and Oleg Senkin - stone-cutting art, Dmitry Klimov - jewelry art, Alla Kozlova - enamel art, Victor Polyakov - enamel, and many others. In total, more than seventy artists will present their works.
The exhibition of works of decorative art is a special event - it presents the viewer with man-made works of art in which the creative energy of the artist is materialized.
