December 29, 2016 in the Perm Gallery opens a family New Year’s exhibition “Bear Stories”. This is a fascinating journey into the real and fairy-tale world, the central character of which is the hero of numerous epics and fairy tales - a bear.
The exhibition presents works from the funds of the Perm Gallery and private collections. Ivan Shishkin’s painting shows the habitat of the powerful and fearless king of the forest. And from engravings by Yuri Vasnetsov, Yevgeny Charushin, Vitaliy Statsinsky from the funds of the Perm Gallery’s graphics, a completely different image of a bear looks at the audience - a cute, plush and club-footed hero from his favorite children’s fairy tales.
The real decoration of the exhibition is Russian folk pictures of the 19th century - fairy luboks, from which a bright and recognizable image of a bear from folk tales and legends looks at the audience.
“Bear stories” begin with a map of the emblems of cities, which depict a symbol of endurance, strength and courage of a bear. Further, moving around the exhibition space, the image of the bear is revealed in more detail. He is the king of the forest, and a fairy-tale hero, and a mythological character who has a rich symbolism in culture.
The aim of this exhibition is to create a museum space that is comfortable for the child on the one hand and cognitive on the other.
The exhibition will run until February 28.
