Exhibition of media artist Dmitry :: vtol :: Morozov Automatic translate

On April 22, the Electromuseum in Rostokino of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association and the Moscow Sound Art Gallery SA)) _ gallery open the Devices exhibition.

This is the first solo exhibition of media artist Dmitry Morozov, carrying out a multi-year project called :: vtol :: The Polytechnical Museum acted as a partner of the exhibition.

The name of the exposition is associated with the direction of media art “device art”, in which the work becomes an electronic device - “device” or “gadget”.

The works :: vtol :: combine traditional forms of kinetic and minimalist art with engineering and programming and are made according to the DIY principle. These are examples of cutting-edge art, not devoid of self-irony and social and technological criticism.

The exhibition will feature 16 interactive sounding and moving installations, including the Russian folk robot "Gusli-Samogudy" and the installation "Oil", which gives viewers the opportunity to destroy any thing in order to transform it into a unique sound composition.

On the opening day, the reading performance “Reading My Body” will take place: using a special scanner, the artist will perform music using his own tattoo as notes.

In SA)) _ gallery a multi-channel sound installation of Morozov “16x5” will open. With this work, the gallery will begin a cycle of expositions of relevant domestic sound artists - residents of the Soundartist.ru community.

The exhibition is open until May 31, 2015.
