A declaration of love for the land so picturesque and inspiring.
“For more than 10 years, on creative trips to this amazing region, material has been gathered that I want to share. The main territory in the works is Big Yalta: Simeiz-Alupka:
"Who saw the edge for the luxury of nature
Vibrant oak forests and meadows
Where merrily noisy and splashing water
And peaceful caress the coast "
A.S. Pushkin..
Landscapes are sunny and windy, thoughtful and cloudy… Crimea is the place where you can breathe easily and freely.
There have been many events for such a short period of time in the life of Crimea.
When in the summer he was crowded, I wanted to paint landscapes uninhabited, silent, where nature was the main thing. Since 2014, I have included children so direct, sincere, and they as part of nature. It happened unconsciously and intuitively. In the work “Friendship” there are three children’s figures, holding hands on the road to the sea, to the picturesque beach, framed on both sides by cliffs. The beach was closed for 12 years, was fenced and guarded by the owner of the estate, which was located on the descent. With the adoption of new laws, it was rediscovered, but three times they tried to return this corner back to private possessions and the parents of these children took all measures and defended the beach. In the work “Yard”, children whose parents bake pastries and sell on the beach sit and pose on the steps of the house… This is how real life is woven into artistic motifs, and children, with their spontaneity, with their eyes wide and inexhaustible energy inspire and bring that the real joy of life. They are not part of nature - they are life itself! And this is another topic, the theme of my series of children’s portraits.
Behind every corner of Crimea is the history of the present and the past…. I’m glad that I managed to capture some places that have become different for different periods of time, and this is history, history of time. ”
