Record video broadcast from the opening of the exhibition
Lisa Izvekova works in different genres - this is a landscape, still life, everyday genre, a series of interesting works on sports topics. But in all the images created by the artist there is a certain symbolism, there always exists a certain second semantic plan. Each image or story is designed to give rise to one or another association, to build a semantic parallel. For example, a plate with bright lemon circles on a dark abstract background, the visual perception of which gives a complete picture of the bright glowing Sun. The artist’s love for “parallels” often has a graphic expression. “Skiers”, “Dandelions”, “Mattress”, “Candy rain”, “Dream of footballites” - in each of these works there is a rhythm set by a linear game of parallel and intersecting lines.
At the personal exhibition of Liza Izvekova in the gallery on the Novinsky gallery, the viewer will be able to appreciate the artist’s graceful possession of artistic means, the artist’s subtle sense of humor, devoid of any irony and, of course, find their meanings and parallels within the created images.
