The name of Larisa Naumova is well known to art lovers and collectors both in Russia and abroad.
Larisa Ivanovna Naumova was born in Simferopol in 1945. In 1961 she graduated from the Sevastopol Art School. Graduate of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1973). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1978). In 1988, her creative activity was awarded a diploma of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. Participant in many Moscow, Russian and foreign exhibitions - Poland (Poznan), USA, Greece, France (Paris), Germany (Heysden) and others. In 1992 she was chosen as the official artist from the CIS countries at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.
In his work, L. Naumova turns to different subjects and images. These are ordinary people and angels, these are gospel stories and still lifes that encourage the viewer to look with her eyes at a world that is cruel and rarely brings happiness.
Doctor of Art History Alexander Yakimovich, analyzing the work of L. Naumova, believes that contemporaries are not accustomed to the idea that a great master lives next to them, who deserves to take a place in the history of art along with great masters. According to him, in the paintings of L. Naumova you can feel a lot of allusions, paradoxes and hidden meanings, in them - only apparent simplicity. The artist speaks with the viewer about the beautiful, true and bright, about the Divine with a capital letter. Her painting reminds of light and love, of a dream and hope. Naumova’s paintings tell of the last chance to rush into the distance and the last look turned back. Things and people are approaching their end and the transition to a new state. The dolny world seeks the Creator and hopes to find Him. Naumova’s paintings are dedicated to the hope that salvation is still possible. This is the chance of the last frontier. The artist had to long and painfully prove to herself the right to fly in a dream and in reality, a flight on the other side of the conventions of norms, on the other side of reason and common sense.
Larisa Naumova’s artistic task is to reproduce a person as a carrier of a higher spirit. The idea of the spiritual gathering of the world leads the artist to man, for he is endowed with an internal opportunity to promote universal unity. In the universal law lies the explanation of the copyright sign - a flying angel. L. Naumova believes that the angel is a symbol of spiritual mobility, the omnipresence of the spirit.
According to her colleague, artist Natalya Nesterova, in the paintings of L. Naumova, over which she works for a long time and is focused, in addition to their perfection, there is lightness, nagging touchiness and depth of thought, although this is their miracle. L. Naumova is filled with amazing purity and the desire to show the beauty of the life of nature, man.
The works of L. Naumova are in collections of the country’s largest museums: the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Art Museums of Sevastopol, Kemerovo, the Museum of Modern Art of Novosibirsk and others, as well as in private collections in Russia, England, the USA, France, Germany, Japan, Greece, the Netherlands.
The exhibition runs from July 15 to August 16, 2015.
