Artist Christina Veres began to study oil painting on her own, inspired by the works of Mikhail Vrubel, Jacek Yerki and contemporary artists of St. Petersburg. In recent years, Veres actively participated in exhibition activities, took part in the exhibition ArtDarkwave (St. Petersburg) and collaborated with the musical group Roman Rain. And now Kristina will present her new exhibition “About Feelings”.
“In the rhythm of modern time there is so little slow tasting of the senses, the measuredness of life. Less and less, lovers are interested in each other and live on social networks. Moderation and the quality of emotions spilled over into the carousel of endless consumption of new people, new things, extreme situations. This exhibition is not a manifesto, it is a story about moments, about feelings, about feelings and about the revelation of one person, possibly reflecting you too, ”says Christina Veres herself. In the picturesque compositions, built on the nuances and subtle correlations of tones, masterfully collected deep colors and contrasts, gradations of dark and light, chopped forms and smooth lines, sonorous fragility and softness. Each work is designed to express those shades of feelings that have been forgotten and which have become dull behind the iron course of the present century, but which are so important to remember and appreciate.
