In one of the main halls of the Museum of the Academy of Arts, the XIII exhibition-competition of works by students of the Repin Academic Institute and students of the Johannes Lyceum will open.

On April 2-3, there will be a reception of paintings, sculptures, graphic and architectural works by students of the Repin Institute - participants of the XIII Igor Minakov Prize Contest.

The final exhibition will open on April 6 and will be available for visitors until April 15. Visitors will be able to vote to choose the best painting and sculpture - winners in the category "Public Recognition".

The first stage of the competition ended on March 22 at the Lyceum. The commission of teachers from the Repin Institute, chaired by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, graphic artist Andrei Sklyarenko made a choice of 20 works out of 89 submitted. The selected work of the contestants will continue the competition at the main exhibition in the Rafael Hall in the special nomination "Young Artist".

“Lyceum students actively responded to the topic of the XIII-contest. For them, family is a very significant plot of their life today. On the other hand, we artists also constantly portray loved ones. This, for example, inspires me and keeps me afloat among numerous experiences. The Minakov Prize is a charitable project to support talented young people from the academic art schools of St. Petersburg. “Family Values” is the 13th annual creative competition of a non-profit project organized at the initiative of a St. Petersburg patron. The first competition was held in 2006. For 12 years, more than 270 schoolchildren and students, future artists, became laureates of the prizes of the philanthropist Igor Minakov.
